These are two cards I made for men for birthdays or Father’s Day. (All items used are from Stampin’ Up unless otherwise stated)
Both cards are 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
The truck is from the stamp set Countryside
Mats are 5 1/4″ x 4″ in Very Vanilla Card stock (CS)
The top card uses the Argyle embossing folder on Core’dinations CS (More about Core’dinations CS below.) The bottom card uses a piece of DSP from Comfort Cafe .
These mats measure 5″ x 3 3/4″
I used linen thread and wrapped it around the card three times and either tied in a bow (top) or put through a button and tied off there.
The truck was stamped with VersaMark on a piece of Very Vanilla CS measuring 2″ x 3 5/8″. I then used Early Espresso embossing powder on the image (don’t forget to use your embossing buddy!) to heat emboss it. After I was done heat embossing it, I colored the apples and baskets with coordinating Stampin’ Write Markers.
On the inside of the card I also put a piece of Very Vanilla CS for my sentiment.
OK more on Core’dinations CS. This is paper that is basically two colors. The outside layer is one color and the inside layer is a coordinating monochromatic color. To bring out this color, sand it using a sanding block, tear it, or distress the paper. Isn’t it awesome?
Well, I hope you are having a great day and get some time to craft some cards or scrapbook pages today. Until then, happy crafting.
